Toogood Pond Park

Toogood Pond is a 33-hectare park that has many points of interest including a partially naturalized pond and a marsh. A walkway circles the pond and is popular for taking leisurely walks. The pond is home to many Canada Geese, ducks, fish, and other wildlife. Surrounding the pond are many beautiful walkways, park benches and picnic tables. There is a man-made dam at the south-east end that includes a waterfall. On the weekends, you can often see newlyweds having their photographs taken. Reesor Farm Market Offers our own baked goods, salads, and prepared meals for you to enjoy at home. During the growing season you can enjoy sweet corn and other produce from our own farm and other Ontario farmers.

The Markham Pan Am Centre

The City of Markham commissioned this facility as a host venue for the 2015 Pan American and ParaPan American Games. Our world-class facility includes an Olympic sized swimming pool and multiple gymnasiums that are ideal for hosting International competitions in a number of sports. The Markham Pan Am Centre will play an integral part in an athlete’s pathway towards sports excellence and will develop the reputation as being a highly rated sports training, competition and events venue.

Varley Art Gallery

The Varley Art Gallery of Markham is a vital cultural hub for artists and diverse communities. A municipal gallery, we create critical conversations about Canadian art and society. We inspire local and national audiences to engage with art through outstanding exhibitions and rich public and educational programs relevant to the communities we serve. We support artists from York region and seek to broaden access to the arts for diverse artists and cultural groups. We also share and celebrate the life and work of F.H. Varley, a founding member of the Group of Seven. The Varley Art Gallery is situated on the traditional territories of Indigenous Peoples including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe. We are committed to reconciliation, partnership and enhanced understanding.

Angus Glen Golf Club

Golf at the Angus Glen Golf Club offers beauty, challenge, first-class service and maybe best of all, variety. Angus Glen Golf Club is a public golf course and is known internationally for hosting PGA Tour events on both of its championship golf courses. Each time you choose to play Angus Glen, you are walking the same fairways that the world’s best golfers have competed on. The South Course hosted the 2002 Canadian Open, when John Rollins defeated Justin Leonard and Neal Lancaster in an exciting sudden death playoff. Capturing the title for the second consecutive year Jim Furyk out duelled Vijay Singh on the North Course to win the 2007 Canadian Open.

Joyride 150

Joyride 150 is Canada's Largest Bike Park located in Markham Ontario. First time on this kind of terrain? Our beginner area is the perfect place to start featuring progressive terrain designed to build confidence. Moving through the rest of the park we have jump lines, skinnies a street plaza vert park and a nearly one-kilometer-long cross-country loop. Riders are free to bring their own bike or use one of ours!
