Lynde Shores Conservation Area
Extremely popular for wildlife viewing, Lynde Shores Conservation Area has a number of looping trails (5 km including the 1 km looping trail within the Cranberry West Tract). These trails, especially the Chickadee Trail, are just the right length for little ones and are generally stroller and wheelchair friendly.
Heber Down Conservation Area
The Heber Down Conservation Area (284 hectares) offers a variety of activities for the recreation-minded. Fishing, nature walks, pond exploration on floating docks and picnicking are all popular activities with our visitors. More importantly, Heber Down Conservation Area preserves a portion of the significant Iroquois Beach physiographic unit and is home to a variety of wildlife and plants not common in Durham Region.
Iroquois Park Sports Centre
Provides the largest Municipally owned & operated recreation facility in Canada to the residents of the Town of Whitby and surrounding municipalities. Offering 6 arenas, including a large stadium area and 2 swimming pools.
Brock Street Brewery
The goal of the Brock St. Brewing Company is simple: Create amazing beers, support community events, local sports teams, while at the same time, help restore Whitby’s historic downtown. Brock Street Brewing Company recently purchased 244 Brock St South at the Corner of Dunlop and Brock Street, and we are planning a massive 25,000 square foot expansive right in Whitby’s downtown core.

Hy Hope Farm
Over the past 40, years Hy-Hope Farm has seen many changes from a folding table at the side of the road to a year round farm market. There’s something for every season, from fruits and vegetables in the summer, tobogganing in the winter and our year round freshly baked goods, jams and preserves. And, don’t forget the 18-hole executive golf course. The area where the golf course sits now was used for growing crops, but its original landscape made it difficult to farm. Dave decided to transform the area into what you see today. Hy Hope Golf started out as a six-hole course and has grown into an 18-hole executive course with just over 3,000 yards of playing area and a challenging layout.
