Holland Marsh Wineries

Main Street Newmarket
Built along an ancient First Nations trade route, downtown Newmarket is a hotbed of heritage sites, culture, commerce, shopping and entertainment. Tom Taylor Trail
The Tom Taylor Trail is the Newmarket portion of the Nokiidaa Trail. It follows the Holland River and Fairy Lake and eventually meets the Rogers Reservoir Trail in East Gwillimbury. It is fairly flat, paved and well-maintained and great for road-biking, running, and family outings. There is not much shade on the trail. There are several spots along the trail to hop on and do a portion of it.

Rogers Reservoir Conservation Area
Encounter great blue herons, American coots and sora rails at Rogers Reservoir Conservation Area. This 84 hectare site is a great place to watch nesting birds and cycle along trails which are part of the Nokiidaa Trail system linking the Towns of Aurora, Newmarket and East Gwillimbury. The concrete lock and its swing bridge are remnants of a ‘Ghost’ Canal System built and abandoned in the early 1900’s –without ever having been used.

Fairy Lake Park
Fairy Lake and Fairy Lake Park, on Water Street, serve residents and visitors as an urban oasis in the heart of historic downtown Newmarket. The lake itself was made by Newmarket's earliest settlers who built a mill in the early 1800s at the foot of Main Street. The 13.4 hectares of parkland, waterways and marshland are also known as Wesley Brooks Conservation Area and includes the dam at the Water Street bridge, which is used for the purpose of flood control.
Newmarket Riverwalk Commons
Newmarkets Riverwalk Commons is located outside the Newmarket Community Centre & Lions Hall at 200 Doug Duncan Drive and features an outdoor stage and is host to various Newmarket events all year long. Some notable events include Tim Hortons Canada Day, TD Newmarket Music Series, Splash of Culture and Frozen Fridays, both presented by Mercedes-Benz Newmarket as well as the Mercedes-Benz Newmarket Ice Lounge and more. Riverwalk Commons is open all year round and in the winter months, the Mercedes-Benz Skating and Water Feature is transformed into an outdoor ice rink for all to enjoy.
